It was great achievement on part of Ch. M. Nawaz, President, Pakistan Anti
TB Association as President of IUATLD-ER that in 2005, PATA successfully
organized 23rd IUATLD-ER International Conference on Tuberculosis
and Lung Diseases at historic city of Lahore in collaboration with Pakistan
Chest Society and National TB Control Program, Govt. of Pakistan.
Like other Stop TB partners, IUATLD-SEAR also realized the importance of
Behavior Change Communication (BCC) and community mobilization activities
through a coherent Advocacy Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM)
strategy for effectve region-wide implementation of DOTS program to achieve
the desired targets.
Keeping in view the emerging need for ACSM, PATA planned to organize an
International ACSM Workshop on 1-3 September, 2007 in Lahore, which proved
to be a grand and historic success for PATA. |
